Intro:  What is the greatest prize you have ever won in your life ?

Study

1. Romans 8:37, John 3:3-5 When we accept Christ we are born again, we are born into a life
   of salvation and victory found only in Jesus which allows us to conquer everything in our way.
   1. John 10:10 The devil desires to defeat us, he wants to keep us from accepting Christ, but if he can’t keep us from getting saved, then he will attempt to keep us from discovering Gods purpose for our lives and from leading others to Christ.
      1. Psalms 27:10 The devil will try to defeat us through generational curses, through abuse or even through a dysfunctional home life growing up.
      2. 1 Peter 5:8-9 The devil will also try to defeat us through sin, addiction, fear, shame,  wrong relationships or through any other way that he can.
   2. Rom 8:31 In this new series we are going to look at the things the devil will throw at our lives to try to defeat us and how we can conquer all that comes against us.
2. Jer 29:11-13, Psalms 60:12  God has a divine purpose and plan for each of us and from the day we are born he desires that we are victorious and that we conquer.
   1. Gal 5:7-8  The devil detours many of us when we are young with temptation, sin, addiction and with false identities which bring defeat and destruction in our lives.
      1. Joel 2:25  But when we are born again in Christ we can reclaim Gods original plan and purpose and through the power of the Holy Spirit we can conquer all that is in our way.
      2. Ps 32:8-11 When we accept Jesus it is important that we are humble and teachable and that we follow the direction of the Holy Spirit rather than go our own way.
   2. 1 John 5:4,1 Cor 15:57 God has called each of us to a life of victory, success,and destiny, we are all called to use our talents, giftings and place in this life to win as many people to Christ as we can, lets throw off every excuse, lets stand up and conquer! #Borntoconquer!

1. What are some of the most common things that the devil tries to use to defeat us and destroy our lives?
2. Can someone share a testimony of an area that God helped you conquer that had control of your life before you knew Jesus?
3. Why is it so important that we follow the direction of the Holy Spirit after we get saved rather than go our own way?
4. What is an area in your life personally right now where you need to conquer something that is keeping you from fulfilling Gods plan for your life?

End: Pray for those who want to conquer all that the devil has thrown in their lives to stop them, pray for any who need to accept Christ or rededicate their lives to Jesus, then take requests.
