Intro: What is the longest book you every had to read for school?

  1. Joshua 1:8, Psalms 1:2 For us to remain strong as Christians and grow in our Faith, we must read and study the Bible every day.
    1. Mathew 4:4 The same way we need to eat food daily to survive physically, we must read Gods word daily to survive and be healthy spiritually.
      1. 1 Tim 4:13 The Bible tells us that we must be devoted to reading the scriptures, reading the Bible and praying must be our top priorities.
      2. Heb 4:12. Rom 12:2 When we read Gods word daily, his word penetrates our spirits and renews our minds.
    2. Psalms 119:104-106 When we look to Gods word as our guide, we will make the right decisions, and know what way God wants us to go in life.
  2. Psalms 119:9-11 We will know how to define right and wrong, and what lifestyle honors God when we study the word of God daily.
    1. 1 Cor 10:13 We will find strength to avoid temptation when we read Gods word and pray every day.
      1. Isaiah 40:31 When we go through challenges or face difficulties, we will find encouragement and strength in God through his word.
      2. 1 Tim 3:16-17 When the word of God reveals an area we need to grow in and we respond humbly, we will lack nothing at all in this life.
    2. Job 23:12 In order to stand strong in Christ, and accomplish Gods will, we must make reading the Bible our top priority every day!
