Intro:   What is your favorite Christian band or artist ?

Study

  1. 1 John 2:20, Jer 29:11-13 The Holy Spirit wants to anoint us to accomplish a specific purpose and call that God has for us here in this world!
    1. Eph 4:30 We need to be very careful that we stay away from the sin, compromise, and ungodliness that grieves the Holy Spirit and will push Gods anointing away.
      1. Isaiah 7:9 If you want to remain strong in your faith and anointed by the Holy Spirit to reach the lost and do great things for God, then you must avoid secular music as well as violent, profane, and sensual movies.
      2. 1 Cor 15:33-34 Many Christian youth and young adults are influenced to listen to wrong music and watch bad movies by ungodly friends.
    2. Ephesians 5:11-12 Secular ungodly music and violent, profane, and sensual movies offend the Holy Spirit, push the anointing away, and will pull you away from God.
  2. Proverbs 8:13, John 14:15 If we truly love God, then we will obey His commands and we will stay far away from all of the sin, profanity, perversion, and violence that offends God.
    1. 2 Cor 6:14, 2 Cor 6:17 God is calling us as Christians to separate ourselves from the sin and wickedness that is destroying the world!
      1. James 1:15  The lost who are bound by sin do not need to see Christians also partaking in the same sinful movies and music that they watch and listen to!
      2. 1 John 2:4 We need to be an example to the lost who are all around us by living differently, avoiding negative influences, and being a light in this dark world!
    2. Romans 12:9, 1 Peter 1:16 In order for us to remain anointed by the Holy Spirit, stand strong in our faith, and able to accomplish Gods plan for our lives then we must completely avoid the secular music and bad movies that will push Gods anointing away.  #Anointed!

  1. What are some of the many dangers of listening to secular music and watching violent, profane, and sensual movies?
  2. Why do we as Christians need to stand firm around unsaved youth and young adults and avoid secular music and bad movies?
  3. What are some of the many benefits of listening to Christian music and choosing to only watch good movies?
  4. Does anyone here tonight have a problem with listening to secular music and watching violent, profane, and sensual movies? Are you now ready to surrender them to God?

End: Pray for those who want to let go of all secular music and bad movies and repent of any sin and compromise in their lives so they can avoid offending the Holy Spirit and be  anointed by God to reach the world! Then take requests.
