Study

  1. Romans 8:37, John 3:3-5 When we accept Christ we are born again, we are born into a life
of salvation and victory found only in Jesus which allows us to conquer everything in our way.

    1. John 8:34-36 One of the main things that the devil will try to use to pull youth and young adults away from serving God and from fulfilling their purpose is secret sin and addiction.
      1. 1 John 4:4  Although we are all sinners we are not supposed be controlled by sin, God has provided us a way that we can be victorious over sin and addiction!
      2. Eph 4:27 Many youth and young adults open the door to the devil by giving into sinful activities such as pornography which can grow into addictions that can ruin their lives.
    2. James 1:15  The devil will then try and control your life through addiction, causing a cycle of hurt, destruction, pain, and depression and keeping you from discovering Gods plan and purpose for your life.
  2. John 8:11, 1 Samuel 17:48-50 God will give us a way to conquer the Goliath of secret sin and addiction, when we completely surrender to God and his process he will give us the victory over all sin and addiction in our lives.
    1. 1 Samuel 17:32 We need to be willing to deal with the Goliath of sin in our lives by directly confronting it and not running away.
      1. 1 Samuel 17:51, 2 Cor 6:17  We also need to be willing to cut off all wrong relationships and any weak points of temptation that cause us to fall into sin.
      2. Prov 27:17, Gal 6:1 We then need to make ourselves accountable to pastors and leaders for our weak areas and spend our time serving God in the ministry, leading others to Christ, and developing our leadership.
    2. James 4:10, 2 Chron 7:14  If we humble ourselves, repent, surrender all areas of our lives to God and follow his process then he will give us the victory and we will conquer every sin and addiction that tries to get in our way! #Borntoconquer!
