Study

  1. Romans 8:37, John 8:36 When we accept Christ we are born again, we are born into a life of salvation and victory found only in Jesus which allows us to conquer everything in our way.
    1. 1 Sam 17:8-10,23-24 God has an awesome plan and purpose for each one of us, but we must understand that the devil will send a Goliath in order to stop us from accepting Jesus and from fulfilling Gods will for our lives.
      1. Romans 8:31  If we choose to confront Goliath and trust in God we will conquer the Goliath the devil wanted to use to stop us!
      2. Judas 1:23  Once we conquer and defeat the Goliath that tried to stop us, then God will fulfill his purpose for our lives, and use us to lead many people to Jesus.
    2. Heb 3:13-14 God will also use us to encourage and minister to others who are struggling with the same Goliath that we used to struggle with.
  2. Rev 12:11 We need to be willing to be used of God to encourage others and boldly share the testimony of what God has done in our lives and the victory that we have been given!
    1. 1 Thess 5:11 There are many people who are struggling who feel they have no hope and no way out, but when they hear that God has given us victory it can encourage them that if God can do it for us that he can also do it for them.
      1. Romans 10:13-15 We can encourage the unsaved or backslidden people around us by sharing Jesus with them and offering to pray them through the sinners prayer.
      2. Prov 27:17  We can minister to other Christians who may be going through difficult times by praying with them, standing with them, and encouraging them!
    2. Prov 11:25, Gal 6:7 We must remember that if we choose to look past our own struggles and needs in order to reach out to others who are hurting to lead them to Christ and encourage them, that God sees our hearts and he will reward us! #Borntoconquer!

  Discussion

  1. Can you share a time when God has used you to encourage someone who is struggling something God has given you victory over?
  2. What are some of the ways that we can reach out to and minister to others who are struggling to conquer their Goliath and have victory in their lives?
  3. Can you share a time when you chose to look past your own struggles and needs to minister to someone else? What difference did that make in your life?
  4. Why is it so important that we look for ways that we can minister to, encourage, and lead others to Christ rather that remain idle and do nothing with our faith?

End: Pray for those who want to step out and encourage others to overcome Goliath, pray for any who need to accept Christ or rededicate their lives to Jesus, then take requests.Con
