Intro:  What is your favorite activity to do when you have a vacation day or day off?

  1. Isaiah 48:16, Acts 1:8 God has called us to live a life empowered by the Holy Spirit so that we can reach the lost, be victorious, and able to accomplish His purposes here in this world.
    1. Mathew 19:26 The Holy Spirit will empower us to accomplish that which seems impossible for us to do in our own strength.
      1. James 1:15 As we talked about last year, sin gives birth to death, and when we let sin in our lives we open the door for the devil to destroy our lives with sin!
      2. Isaiah 48:22 Look at the lives of those bound by sin, drugs, alcohol, addictions, perversion, do they have peace? are they happy? Do they have purpose? NO!
    2. John 10:10 So many people feel broken, defeated, limited, and stuck because they cannot break free from sin, addictions, and repeating cycles of falior in their lives!
  2. Romans 6:23 The problem with sin is that it doesn’t work! It never has and it never will! Ever since sin entered the world through Adam and Eve till now, and from now till the end of time, for billions of people sin has never worked once and its definitely not going to work for you! So why do it?
    1. Mathew 15;14, Psalms 111:10 When people turn to everything outside of God, they cannot and will not be able to find freedom, and their lives will not work!
      1. 1 Cor 15:57 When we receive Jesus as our Savior we find victory over every sin, stronghold, generational curse, and limitation that the devil wants to use to hold us back!
      2. John 14:6 There is no other way! Jesus is the only way! We must repent of our sins and accept Jesus as our Savior if we want to find salvation, peace, and freedom from sin!
    2. Eph 5:7-8, Acts 3:19 The only thing that can stop us from living an empowered life and from accomplishing awesome things for God is sin! In order for us to live an empowered life, we must repent of our sins, accept Jesus as our Savior, submit to God,  follow God, and obey His voice.  #Empowered!

  1. What are some of the many negative consequences of sin that you see in the world all around us?
  2. Why do you think so many unsaved people are blinded by sin and are unable to see that sin does not work, and that sin is completely destroying their lives?
  3. Why is it completely necessary for us to repent of our sins and surrender to God in order for us to find peace, happiness, and for our lives to work?
  4. Is there anyone here who needs to repent of their sin and accept Jesus as their Savior so they can be saved from Hell, and go to Heaven and live the empowered life?

End: Pray for those who want to accept Jesus as their Savior so they can find salvation, peace, and freedom from sin and its consequence and live a life empowered by the Holy Spirit, then take requests.
