“ Shut the door on the Devil“
Intro: What time do you prefer to wake up in the morning ?
Study
- Romans 8:37, John 3:3-5 When we accept Christ we are born again, we are born into a life of salvation and victory found only in Jesus which allows us to conquer everything in our way.
- Judges 13:4-5 Samson was a youth who was called of God to do awesome things and to be a great leader in his generation.
- Judges 14:6, Judges 16:3 Samson had a great anointing of the Holy Spirit on his life and was able to do incredible exploits for God.
- Judges 14:1-3, Judges 16:1 But Samson had one major problem in his personal life, he left the door open to falling into sin and temptation by choosing to be around the wrong people and by doing the wrong things.
- S.S. 2:15, 1 Peter 5:8-10 We must understand that when we don’t deal with the sin and temptation that comes at us, then it can grow and completely destroy our lives.

- 1 Cor 10:13, James 4:7 In order for us to remain strong in God and conquer everything the devil will throw at us, we must learn from Samson’s mistake and shut the door on the devil.
- 2 Cor 6:17 The first thing that we can do to shut the door on the devil is to cut off every wrong friendship or dating relationship with people who are not serving God and who are influencing us to do wrong, Samson was led into sin though his bad dating relationships.
- John 14:15 The next thing we can do to shut the door on the devil is obey Gods laws and live by his standards, Samson got into a lot of trouble because he disobeyed Gods laws and did not listen to what God had told him to do.
- 1 Tim 4: 12 The final thing that we can do to shut the door on the devil in our lives is to avoid idleness and keep ourselves busy in the ministry doing the work of God. Samson got himself in trouble being idle doing what he wasn’t supposed to be doing.
- Eph 4:27, Phil 4:13 If we learn to shut the door on the devil in our personal lives by ending wrong relationships, obeying Gods laws, and spending our time doing Gods will then we will remain strong and conquer everything the devil will throw at us! #Borntoconquer!

- Is there any area in your life right now where you know you need to shut the door on the devil? If so what is it? Are you ready to take a step of faith and shut the door on the devil?
End: Pray for those who want to conquer all that the devil has thrown in their lives to stop them, pray for any who need to accept Christ or rededicate their lives to Jesus, then take requests.
