“ Fear not ”
Intro: When you were a child, what were you afraid of ?
Study
- Isaiah 43:1-2, Prov 3:25-26 It is not Gods will for us as Christians to be afraid, or to be controlled by fear.
- 2 Tim 1:7 The bible tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear since we know fear does not come from God, where does fear come from? Fear comes from Satan.
- 1. John 8:44 Fear is defined as a painful agitation in the presence or anticipation of danger, anxiety, dread, horror, panic or terror.
- 1 Peter 5:8-9 Fear is Satans greatest weapon against humanity, Satan uses fear to try and limit us, control us, steal our identity, and keep us from our purpose.
- Psalms 56:3 Fear is something everyone of us will face in this life although each of us may deal with different fears, we will all face fear.

- Psalms 34:4-5, 1 John 4:18 The good news is that when we turn to God with all of our hearts, and surrender to him, he will give us victory over fear!

- Matt 14:29-31 In order for us to overcome our fears we must be willing to step out and do that which we have been afraid to do.
- James 2:26 God gives victory to those who express their trust in him by actively stepping out in faith and confronting their fears.
- Jer 29:11-13, Joshua 1:8 God wants to use us to do great things in this world, and lead many people to Christ, but in order for us to fulfill the purpose for which we were born we must overcome fear! – – – No Fear!

- What are some of the many negative effects fear can have in our lives? What are some of the things fear can keep you from doing?
- What is a fear you have personally overcome in your life? What is a fear you are still struggling with in your life currently?
- What are some steps you believe we should take in order to overcome the fear that tries to control our lives?
- What are some things you believe God has been leading to to step out and do but you have been hesitating because of fear?
