Intro:  Where would you like to go for your honeymoon when you get married ?

Study

  1. Mark 16:15, Matt 6:33 In order for us to have a strong walk with God as well as be as effective as possible in reaching the world, we must put God first in all of our relationships.
    1. 1 Cor 15:33 The Bible tells us that bad company will corrupt good character, so it is extremely important that we are very careful in all of our relationships.
      1. Prov 4:23 One of the most important relationships that we will ever have in our lives as  youth and young adults is our dating relationships.
      2. Eph 5:10-11 Many Christian youth and young adults make the mistake of entering into dating relationships with non Christians, or with those who are apathetic in their faith.
    2. Gal 5:8-9  When Christian youth enter into wrong dating relationships, they are often  influenced to do wrong, tempted to enter into sexual sin, and they backslide.
  2. Eph 4:27, Hosea 4:6 It is very important that we as Christians, are extremely careful in who we consider dating!
    1. S.S. 2:7, 3:5, 8:4 The Bible tells us that there is a time for love, we should only date once we are old enough to get married. Youth under 18 should not date because they are not    old enough to get married. The Bible warns us to not awaken love before its correct time.
      1. 2 Cor 6:14 The Bible also warns us against being in close relationships with anyone who is either unsaved or spiritually immature.
      2. 2 Cor 6:17, Eph 4:30 If you are currently in a wrong dating relationship that is pulling you away from God, then you need to end that wrong relationship NOW !!!
    2. Rom 12:9, Acts 5:29 We must understand that in order for our lives to be blessed and for us to be able to fulfill Gods purpose here in this world, we need to be willing to end every wrong relationship so that we can please God!        #Reachtheworld!

Discussion

1. What are some of the many problems that come from entering into wrong dating   relationships or dating before you are 18?

2. Why is it so important that we choose to end any wrong dating relationship that we are currently in, and that we avoid all wrong dating relationships in the future?

3. What are some of the reasons youth and young adults have such a hard time ending dating relationships that they know are wrong?

4. Is there anyone here tonight who is currently in a wrong dating relationship that is pulling you away from God that you know you need to end? Are you ready to end it tonight?

End: Pray for those who need to end any wrong dating relationships that they have in their lives. Pray  for any who want to accept Christ, and then take requests.
