Intro: What is your favorite time of the year, and why?

Study

  1. 1 John 2:18, 2 Thess 2:7-8 The bible indicates that after the rapture during the 7 year tribulation on earth the antichrist will appear.
    1. 2 Thess 2:3-4, Daniel 8:23-26 The antichrist will be an agent of satan, a man that is demonically possessed filled with satan’s power.
      1. 2 Thess 2:9-10, Dan 9:27 The antichrist will deceive many with counterfeit miracles, and as a world leader he will initiate peace.
      2. 2 Thess 2:3-4, Rev 13:7-8 The antichrist will then claim he is God, he will fight against Christians and force those on earth to worship him.
    2. Rev 13:16-18 The bible tells us those on earth at that time will be forced to take the mark of the antichrist.
  2. Daniel 11:36 The antichrist will mock God, his objective will be to rule the world, destroy all Christians, and fight against and destroy Israel.
    1. Rev 19:12-15,19-20 This is when Christ will return on earth with the saints to defeat the antichrist, and satan at the battle of Armageddon.
      1. 1 John 4:1-3 Not only will there be a literal antichrist in the future, the bible tells us that there is a spirit of antichrist in the world now.
      2. 2 Cor 11:14-15 Satan appears as an angel of light, deceiving many people by sin that appears to be harmless.
    2. Matt 25:1-12 Because we don’t know the day or hour when Christ will return to rapture Christians from the earth, we must be ready ourselves, and share Christ with others so they to will be ready.

  1. Why do you think that some people will be deceived by the antichrist? do you feel some Christians also will be deceived?
  2. What are some examples of ways satan appears today as an angel of light and is deceiving many people?
  3. In what ways have you personally been deceived by sin that appeared to be harmless? how can we protect ourselves from being deceived?
  4. Because we don’t know the day or hour when Christ will return, how should we personally prepare?
