“ Unstoppable in our influences “

 

Intro: Who is the most influential person in your life?

 

Study

 

  1. Gal 5:7, Phil 4:13 It is Gods will that when we become Christians that we grow become strong in God, remain on-fire for God, and become unstoppable!
    1. Gal 5:8 It is not Gods will for us to start off on fire for God, only to stop serving God and backslide as soon as we face negative influences.
      1. 2 Cor 6:14 There are many youth who love God and who want to serve God, but they allow wrong relationships and negative influences into their lives, and these influences slowly pull them away from God.
      2. Prov 16:18 No matter how strong we thing we are, we are all influenced, and affected by our surroundings, pride will deceive us into thinking we won’t fall.
    2. Exodus 32:1-4 When we allow negative influences into our lives, we can be pushed into doing things we normally would never do.
  2. 1 Cor 15:33, Hosea 4:6 The Bible warns us about our influences, and tells us to use wisdom in the relationships we form, and in what content we allow into our spirits.
    1. Prov 4:23 We can avoid being pulled down by negative influences by guarding who and what we allow to get close to us.
      1. 2 Cor 6:17 We need to be willing to end all relationships that are puling us down, and get rid of any music, movies, or social media that may have a negative impact on our lives
      2. 1 Thess 5:11 We need to then surround ourselves with positive influences in our lives that can help keep us strong and encourage us in our faith.
    2. John 8:12, Matt 5:14-16 God is calling us to not be influenced by the world, but rather to influence the world by living different than the world, and leading others to Christ! God is calling us to be unstoppable in our influences! #Unstoppable!

  1. What are some of the greatest things today that influence Christian youth and young adults away from serving God?
  2. What are some negative influences that are in your life right now that you know you need to get rid of? What is holding you back from getting these negative influences out of your life?
  3. Who can list some of the positive influences that we should add to our lives that will help us stay strong and on-fire for God?
  4. How can we avoid being influenced by the world, and at the same time influence the world for Christ?

 

 

End: Pray for those who need to let go of negative influences in their lives, pray for any who need to accept Christ or rededicate their lives to Christ, then take requests.
