“  drugs, alcohol, and fornication”

Intro: What is your favorite thing to do when you have free time ?

Study

  1. Mark 16:15, Psalms 119:105 In order for us to reach the world, we must correctly understand what the Word of God says, so that we can preach the truth of God’s Word to the world.
    1. 1 Cor 15:33 Many youth and young adults today are corrupted and influenced by a society that now embraces sins and perversions that are directly condemned in the Bible.
      1. Romans 13:13 Two of the greatest sins that negatively affect youth and young adults today are drunkenness and drug addiction.
      2. 1 Cor 6:9-11 Another major temptation and sin that pulls many youth and young adults away from God are sexual sins, the sins of fornication, pornography, homosexuality, and other perversions.
    2. Proverbs 14:12, Mathew 15:14 Today drunkenness and fornication are seen as a very normal part of life, and many countries are now legalizing the use of drugs such as marijuana, but what does the Bible say about drugs, alcohol, and fornication?
  2. Ephesians 5:21, Hebrews 10:26 The Bible directly condemns the sins of drunkenness, drugs, and fornication, and tells us that those who willfully choose to live lives of blatant sin forfeit their salvation.
    1. Eph 5:18, Prov 20:1 The Bible warns us that drunkenness is a sin that will destroy our lives, and that we are to stay far away from.
      1. 1 Cor 6:18-20 The Bible also warns us of the consequences of fornication and other sexual sins, and directly tells us that we are to avoid sexual sins and honor God with our bodies.
      2. Prov 8:31, John 14:15 The Bible tells us “to fear the Lord is to hate evil” We as Christians need to show that we love Jesus by obeying his commands, and avoid the sins that will destroy our lives.
    2. 2 Cor 6:14,17, 1 Peter 1:16 God is calling us to separate ourselves from the sins that are destroying the world. We are called to honor God with our lives so that He can use us to accomplish our purpose here in this world! God is calling us to #Reachtheworld!

  Discussion

  1. Why do you think so many youth and young adults today are influenced by our Godless society to embrace many sins that are directly condemned in the Bible?
  2. What are some of the many negative consequences that come about when people choose to ignore God’s Word and live sinful lifestyles of drugs, drunkenness, and sexual sin?
  3. Why do you think God is calling us as Christians to separate ourselves from the sins and perversions that are destroying the world?
  4. Do you know anyone who is struggling with drugs, drunkenness, or some type of sexual sin? In what ways are you reaching out to them, and reaching them with the Gospel?

End: Pray for any who need to have victory over drugs, drunkenness, or sexual sins, then pray for any who need to accept Jesus as their Savior, lead them through the sinner’s prayer, then take requests.
